The remaining 17-acres of the Robert J. Cross Homestead were purchased by Roscoe Township in December 2018. Roscoe Township Historical Society has partnered with the Township to develop the entire parcel into a public-use space. The Township has built a 3370sf community center, a multi-use outdoor shelter, and nearly a mile of paths within 10 acres of prairie. The Historical Society has been tasked with restoring the 1840s brick structure to as much of its original state as is possible while transforming the 1950s addition into a museum space that reflects design and function of the 21st Century.
We hope that you will Donate towards the restoration of the original home.
