The remaining 17-acres of the Robert J. Cross Homestead were purchased by Roscoe Township in December 2018. Roscoe Township Historical Society has partnered with the Township to develop the entire parcel into a public-use space. The Township has plans to create a community center, gardens and paths, along with a multi-use outdoor shelter for public performance and gatherings.
The Historical Society has been tasked with restoring the 1840s brick structure to its original state while transforming the 1950s addition into a museum space that reflects design and function of the 21st Century. It is likely that the wood addition will look different when complete.
We hope you will Donate to the restoration of the original home.
