Memorial Brick Program

Roscoe Township Historical Society and Roscoe Township have partnered together to provide a Brick Memorial Plaza at Founders Park. All proceeds go directly towards the preservation and renovation of the Robert J. Cross home, built in the early 1840s. The plaza is 20' x 20' with an American flag in the center, holding about 1200 bricks in 3 different sizes. The Memorial Plaza is situated in Founders Park in Roscoe, IL, directly behind the Robert J. Cross Historical Home. 

Founders Park is a nearly 17 acre parcel owned by Roscoe Township. The park has a 3370sf Community Center, a pavilion, over 10 acres of prairie and a mile of walking paths, in addition to housing the Cross home, which is leased to the Historical Society.

Paving bricks are available for a fee based on brick size. All wording on the bricks must be approved by an RTHS Official. Wording that reflects political or religious references, obscenities and other inappropriate language will not be allowed. Engraving will be completed by the company chosen by RTHS in black epoxy in order to keep uniformity. The engraving has a lifetime warranty.

Payment is made via PayPal at the time of ordering online. You also may print a paper order form and mail it to us with your check. Any other type of payment form (i.e. cash), will need to be arrranged with an RTHS Official.
